With the diameter of 80 mm, this huge coin comes housed in a high-quality book-box with a numbered badge. The worldwide mintage is limited to 500 pieces.
Represented on the obverse of the silver coin, there is the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Cameroon surrounded by the inscriptions denoting the face value of the coin as well as the name of the issuing country.
The reverse contains the map and names of the cities involved in an ancient trade. There is also a unique tea-filled insert in the shape of a route. The names of the coin and series, as well as the issuing year, are perfectly fitted into the reverse design. Chinese tea and Tibetan horses were long traded on the legendary Tea Horse Road, a harsh 2,250km trail stretching from China’s Sichuan Province to Tibet’s capital city of Lhasa.
